I used an image from Beccy's Place titled Gnomes from my Garden and a tutorial of hers titled 'Stippled Shadows'.    Must admit I need to practice this as I have not quite got it right. However the inspiration of colours and shadowing  (to some degree) came from the tutorial. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Stampin' Up. The border die  was borrowed from a friend and the floral embellishment I believe is from Marianne Designs. The designer paper is from a paper pack 'Cardstock Carton - Bright Splash'. I totally love it.

Catch the Bug Saturday BINGO Challenge April 21st, 2018

BINGO Challenge

Time for the monthly Bingo Challenge at "Catch the Bug Challenge' blog. I love BINGO challenges  and this is a fun one. I chose the vertical line of Die /Punch, Bugaboo Image and Ribbon and the  horizontal line of Die/Punch, Sentiment and texture.

I used an embossing folder -falling petals- to give texture to the white background. The die cuts  used were Die-namics Birthday Wishes & Balloons  and  a Cottage Cutz  SpookyFence die for the wiggly stripes on the right hand side of the card. The sentiment is by Stampin Up.

Catch the Bug Stella Says Sketch Challenge April 15th, 2018

 It is time again for Bugaboo's   Catch the Bug  sketch challenge, see above sketch. I chose an image   titled 'COOL CAT', but it is an older stamp and no longer available. I love it so much and it fits  the child this card will go to so I just had to use it. But  Bugaboo's stamps have so many other wonderful stamps,  take a look here! 

 I used a pin-wheel die for the embellishment.

Catch the Bug Saturday Theme Challenge April 14th, 2018

Catch the Bug Saturday Theme Challenge April 14th 2018 Rainbow/Unicorns 

This weeks Catch the Bug Saturday Theme Challenge is Rainbows/Unicorns, you can create a project with rainbows and unicorns,  one with just a rainbow , or one with just a unicorn.  You can also just use the colours of the rainbow if you so desire. Bugaboo has a digital stamp set called Unicorn Set  containing   a unicorn, a rainbow with clouds, and one cloud on it's own . This is the set I used for my card  (you can use whatever image you want, as many unicorns as you want etc.) . I cut out the unicorn and placed it over the rainbow/cloud  image  to make he/she appear to be sitting on it. Use your imagination and see what you can create  Please see the blog for all the details. The green circles were from a die and some from a punch. The flower was punched out from two different sized Marvy Punches and the sentiment was created on Word and printed out.

Catch the Bug Humor Me Wednesday April 11th, 2018

Today it is Humour Me Wednesday Day at the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.  I thought I would give it a try (humour is not my best card making theme). and  used this wonderful image-Bugaboo's Peaches Car   to celebrate the April 8th Jumbo (elephant) day and the April 12th  Walk on Your Wild Side day. I did change the Walk to Ride just because it fit my image better. The Walk on Your Wild Side day  apparently means  to do something you would not normally do. I have a dear friend who just bought a bright green car and she totally loves it. It is about the same colour as my image and she will be getting this card.  Have no idea if this will encourage her  to celebrate this day in the future or not :0) ! As for the Jumbo Elephant  Day (it is already over for this year),  I think just celebrate these magnificent animals and if you can, support one of the many causes out there for them.
Either way I hope you enjoy the card and it gives you a smile!

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge # 209 Water April 9th -15th

I so love this image by Sheepski Designs. I coloured her with Copics using  E19 and  E15 for the umbrella,dress and shoes. The flesh tones were E11,E02 and E00. The purse and satchel were coloured with a mixture of Prismacolor Markers. The sentiment was typed into word, formatted and printed out.

Catch the Bug Saturday Anything Goes Challenge April 7th,2018

Time for Bugaboo's   Catch the Bug  Anything Goes challenge. I decided to use this adorable image 'Brat Cupcake  Wagon'  for my card. The card will go  to one of my great grandchildren who turns three  shortly, time moves so fast does it not?  I used an old die from Spellbinders (Lacy Squares) for the image border. and  two  Marvey punches for the flowers. Added  some rhinestones as the flower centers, and a sentiment by Stampin' Up. I used Prismacolor Markers for the colouring. A simple but cute card for a three year old.
